Selective Catalytic Reduction Systems
Indeck Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) Operating Principles:
The Indeck SCR system is designed to reduce the oxides of nitrogen (NOx) into nitrogen (N2) and water (H2O). This reaction is performed by injecting a reagent – ammonia (NH3) – into the exhaust gas and passing the stream through a catalyst. The major components of the SCR systems are the ammonia flow control unit (AFCU) skid, the ammonia injection manifold and injection grid, the SCR catalyst modules and catalyst support structure, the reactor housing, and the control system.
