Controls Engineer (FT)

The primary purpose of this position is to work within a controls engineering group to execute projects in the process control industries. Tasks include designing control panels, programming PLC logic, updating HMI graphics and specifying instrumentation that provides the required functionality for process control, boiler operation and client interfacing. The individual will be designing control systems based on customer input while employing good engineering principles and following all regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Program PLCs and update HMI graphics based upon logic diagrams and functionality requirements.
  • Generate electrical wiring schematics.
  • Layout control cabinets for PLCs and touchscreen interfaces.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues in control cabinets.
  • Setup and troubleshoot integration and networking of PCs, HMIs, PLCs, and third-party devices.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs.
  • Develop written control sequence of operations and narratives.
  • Develop functional logic diagrams for burner management and boiler control systems.
  • Develop process instrumentation specification datasheets (ISA instrument datasheets).
  • Ability to estimate man-hour effort for a given work scope, report progress and effort to complete.
  • Assist with interpreting client requests for proposals, specifications and proposal generation.
  • Communicate with Clients to determine needs, requirements, and expectations.
 
Required Skills And Experiences:
  • Allen Bradley PLC Programming Experience (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, etc.)
  • Wonderware HMI Programming Experience
  • Reading and Interpreting electrical schematics.
  • General electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • General knowledge of and proficiency in the specification of process instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs .
  • AutoCAD.
  • Good verbal and written skills for interfacing with clients.

Reporting directly to the IT Director, the Desktop IT Support Specialist will be responsible for assisting users with any technology related issues via phone, email, and in-person.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide IT assistance for operating systems, software and various applications used internally
  • Manage network security
  • Set up, maintain and troubleshoot all computers, laptops, handhelds, printers, headsets, voicemail, etc for all end users
  • Respond to internal requests for support via email and telephone
  • Monitor and test network performance
  • Assist in projects and implementations of IT software, infrastructure upgrades, migrations and enhancements
Required Experience/Skills
  • Minimum of Associate’s degree in related field required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • (4) four years IT Help Desk experience.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and computer networking principles.
  • Proficiency in MS 365 environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with network administration concepts, including Active Directory management.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to operating systems.

This role has a blend of Project and Procurement Management responsibilities. As a Project Manager you will be responsible for taking an equipment sale or lease project from the initial customer inquiry stage through project execution and procurement, all the way through completion and closing of the contract. This person will support the sales team to successfully position the company as the preferred supplier and then will assume the role as the primary contact with the customer. In the Procurement Manager role, you will lead the purchasing departments of our group of companies. You will be responsible for negotiating long and short-term strategic sourcing streams while achieving cost savings and cost alignment with job budgets and the timely procurement of items. Both technical and contract negotiation skills are required.

Required Skills And Experiences:

As the Project & Procurement Manager you will be responsible for:

  • The execution of multiple size industrial steam projects from project specification review and sales proposal preparation support, to being the primary client interface, as well as supporting the system start-up. You will have the support of our engineering group, procurement assistance, and our service/start-up team.
  • Manage the supplier selection process.
  • Negotiating pricing, lead-times, payment terms, and other contract terms with suppliers.
  • Providing technical oversight including procurement specifications involving pumps, fans, motors, boilers, heat exchangers, and other steam auxiliaries.
  • Review and approval of vendor proposals.
  • Leading the purchasing departments of our group of companies.
  • Managing change orders and field issues.
  • Effectively communicating and interpreting customer requirements to ensure the scope of supply meets the customer’s expectations.
  • Developing and overseeing project budgets.
  • Developing and/or reviewing specs, system designs, drawings, models, engineering studies, etc.
  • Meeting the proposal schedule and adhering to timelines.
 
Candidates must possess the following:
  • B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 10 + years experience in the design, startup, procurement, and/or construction of steam plant / power plant equipment.
  • Working knowledge of contract commercial terms and conditions.
  • Technical and contract negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with mechanical equipment specifications including boiler system auxiliaries.
  • Proven ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the month end close process to produce an accurate and meaningful financial statement package for multiple operating units, including job gross profit analyses.
  • Support the annual financial audit.
  • Guide accounting clerical staff, as needed.
  • Support project managers and sales team in finalizing job budgets and analyzing job cost.
  • Revenue recognition on long term customer contracts.
  • Prepare corporate income tax supporting schedules.

We are recruiting for a full-time Warehouse General Laborer position at INDECK Power Equipment. The work environment is focused on quality and relies on teamwork to accomplish daily tasks. These positions may require lifting of up to 50 pounds and requires a full range of physical motion in order to operate manual and electrically-powered tools. In addition must be able to operate forklift and crane to perform some duties.

Position Overview
  • Responsibilities will include preventative maintenance, maintenance repairs, and inspections on heavy equipment.
  • This includes conducting detailed inspections as well as removing, repairing, and replacing parts and components as necessary, while using tools and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
  • Requires general mechanical ability which includes skills in the use of small hand and power tools, mechanical equipment and materials applicable to the mechanical trades.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Must be able to lift and transport materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Prolonged standing and frequent bending, stooping, and reaching on a daily basis; and working in confined spaces. Requires a full range of physical motion in order to operate manual and electrically-powered tools. Work is performed primarily indoors in a heated warehouse, occasionally in environments that are dusty, noisy, or which could have work hazards.
  • Practices preventive maintenance in maintaining industrial equipment and mechanical tools by performing spot checks of equipment to determine their working condition, oiling moving parts, cleaning and servicing tools and equipment as directed or specified in the operator’s manual, and returning damaged tools and equipment for repair or replacement.
  • Contributes to an accident-free work environment by complying with operator’s instructions for the use of power tools, wearing protective gear such as goggles, hearing protectors, back supports, and work gloves, reporting incidents of unsafe work activity to supervisors, and following standard safety precautions during work.
  • Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane is a plus, as well as knowledge of rigging heavy equipment. Ability to drop and spot trailers on company lot, able to back trailers in and out of receiving dock, service bays, and maneuvers trailers in and around tight corners, on company property is also a plus

We are recruiting for a full-time Boiler Technician position at INDECK Power Equipment. The Boiler Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing Industrial Mechanical Boilers involving physical handling of products, machinery supplies, and equipment. Acts as Boiler Tech in the warehouse. Assists Warehouse Manager and Assistant Warehouse Manager in day-to-day supervision of Boiler Techs, special projects leader, and liaison between warehouse employees and Management.

Job Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Must have a good working knowledge of steam and hot water boilers, burners (gas, oil & combination), associated controls & electrical circuits, combustion, and associated piping systems.
  • Applicant must have a background in working on industrial boiler/burner systems.
  • Computer knowledge is preferred, and experience in linkage less control is highly desirable.
  • Must be proficient with instrumentation and controls.
  • Maintain orderly and clean work area in compliance with Company safety requirements.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by supervision.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Strong ability to problem-solve.
